CrossFit Cure’s program offerings are insanely EXCITING, INVIGORATING, CHALLENGING, FUN and for EVERYONE! With a well-designed, professional program with no gimmicks. There’s no endlessly boring hours spent in a mirrored gym doing the same routines over and over.

On Ramp

If you are new to CrossFit, or you’ve been away for more than a few months, you’ll want to start here.

1. Your coaches are serious about getting you the results you deserve in the safest and most efficient manner possible, which is why we have chosen to use The Level Method. During your 6 one-on-one sessions, your coach will assess your movements, range of motion, limitations, and strengths. Together, you will set some short and long terms goals. You’ll finish on-ramp with a committed plan, ready to join the group classes.

2. You’ll learn the simple nutrition prescription that yields lasting results. Whether your goal is to lose weight, increase capacity, build strength or combat chronic illness- this works! No gimmicks, no supplements, no bars and powders.

3. You’ll also learn the CrossFit Cure culture and “house rules”. We will also make sure you meet a few of the athletes who will be in the class you plan on attending regularly. We will teach you where to find accurate information about CrossFit and introduce you to the world of AMRAPs, EMOMs and HSPUs!

What to Expect

Each On Ramp class will be structured similar to our regular group classes, with the exception of the educational component. The hour-long sessions break down as follows:

0-10:00 minutes: Instruction and Q&A
11:00-18:00 General warm-up
19:00-35:00 Hands-on Technique work
36:00-50:00 Workout of the Day (WOD) designed specifically to your ability
51:00-60:00 Review and Cool down

After you have attended all 10 classes, your coach will work with you to determine if you are ready to join the group classes, or if additional private sessions are desired.

The On Ramp class is $300, which also includes an initial consult and goal session. During 6 personal training sessions, you will be introduced to the Level Method and the foundational movements of CrossFit. Price includes an additional 30 days of unlimited classes.

CrossFit Classes

CrossFit Cure provides group training for clients of all ages and abilities. These small group classes are the core of what we do. After completing your Foundations class, you’ll be integrated into the fitness experience that has redefined what strength means and what beauty is.

We are the only gym in Tucson using The Level Method to train our athletes. The Level Method is the world’s most advanced and accurate fitness-based level system and was designed to systematically progress and rank athletes from beginner to elite – delivering tangible, achievable and incremental goals in the process. It offers incredible insight and value to both the athlete and the coach.

CrossFit will improve your overall health, and we use 10 different physical skills as a touchstone for where your fitness level is. Those are Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance and Accuracy. Most people have areas where they are more proficient than others. For example, a long distance runner may have a hard time helping you out on moving day. By that same reasoning, an Olympic weightlifter may struggle to breath after running a very short distance. By not specializing, CrossFit develops your overall fitness in a way that translates to being better at everyday life!

Classes are 60 minutes long and include a warm up, skill work, a more intense workout portion that may be as short as 5 minutes, or as long as 45 minutes, and we finish with mobility work. Our coaches will customize the planned workout for each athlete, so that everyone in classes experiences the same level of intensity.

The workouts vary from one day to the next in both length and type of training. One day you might row a 5K, another you might be doing handstands and deadlifts. The combination of gymnastics, weighted and bodyweight work, endurance work, and odd-object training is never-ending. One thing is certain, you’ll never be bored!

What to Expect

Workouts can be adjusted in weight, intensity, and certain mechanics in order to scale to the experience and fitness levels of any individual, be it a total fitness beginner or elite competitive CrossFitter. This is the reason this program gets acclaim from military personnel, professional athletes, soccer Moms, Dads and grandparents alike.

All of our CrossFit Group Classes are coach-led and follow a planned progression roughly 60 minutes in duration and follow this basic structure:

A certified coach will guide you through warming up, followed by movement instruction and demonstration for the workout. The Coach will supervise and correct any movement performed by you during the workout.

CrossFit Kids

CrossFit Cure is a registered CrossFit affiliate recognized for having completed specialized training to run a CrossFit Kids program. The age groups below are just a suggestion, and our CrossFit Kids trainers (Hugh and Kai) will assess the best placement for individuals. We are currently accepting reservations our kids program.

Geckos (Ages 3-5)

These 20-minute classes are full of fast paced games to captivate this age group and keep them coming back for more.

Hawks (Ages 5-9)

The 30-minute classes start adding in proper movement technique in a truly fun environment. The kids will be challenged to work as a team to solve puzzles and face challenges indoors and out.

Bobcats (Ages 8-12)

These 45-minute classes will start to take on the structure of a traditional CrossFit class, with a warm-up, skill work and a WOD. Each day ends with a game of varying length.

They will become familiar with the proper names for the foundational movements of CrossFit while honing social and leadership skills. You will love seeing your child progress though this program and see them grow physically and mentally.

Teens (Ages 13-17)

CrossFit Teens is a core-strength and conditioning program designed for the teenage athlete. It’s an exceptional accessory class for active teens already in a sports program. It’s a comprehensive stand-alone fitness regimen for any teen, and can be scaled to their ability while still challenging them to improve. Classes combine weightlifting, body weight movements, plyometrics, running and rowing in a constantly varied, highly intense class. Our goal is to improve the athlete’s strength and endurance as well as focus and perseverance.

Teens will begin to work with heavier loads, over longer time frames and at higher intensity, safety is of course the priority. Under the careful guidance of a CrossFit instructor, teens will learn not just how to get stronger and fitter but also the importance of working as a team, of setting goals and attaining them, and the benefit of seeing health and fitness as a lifetime pursuit.

What to Expect

CrossFit Kids is meant to be BIG fun for all ages. Broad-Inclusive-General fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children. Further, the needs of second graders and high-school varsity wrestlers differ by degree and not kind; the program is scalable for any age or experience level and accounts for the varied maturation status one can find in a class full of kids. CrossFit Kids is designed to be minimalist; it is inexpensive and often requires little or no equipment, allowing a wide array of socioeconomic groups an opportunity to be physically fit and physically active throughout their lives.

Legends

CrossFit is for Everybody!

Our Legends program promotes active aging. It is specially designed for those over 55, or those recovering from illness or injury.

Although aging is something we all have to deal with, we do have some significant control over how those changes will affect our quality of life. Many people have inadvertently chosen “sedentary aging” and now face the cascade of negative effects that result from inactivity.

We strive to prevent or reverse the decline of functionality that results in an unnecessary loss of independence.  Whether you are currently leading an active lifestyle, have seen a decline in mobility and capacity, or need to work around an injury or chronic illness, there’s a place for you at CrossFit Cure!

You may have heard the term “functional fitness” thrown around. Our progressive curriculum will help you learn to move well, and better. We will work to help you stand and sit, to strengthen your core, and to be able to safely pick things up and carry them.

If you are already an active Legend, we will focus on increasing your strength and capacity progressively and safely.

After your intake, we will determine if you require one-on-one sessions to start out, or if you want to join the other Legends for group classes. We will provide you with information on your customized program to discuss with your health care provider, and we are happy to answer any questions they have for us.

Personal Training

What does it take? …It takes a passionate, knowledgeable trainer to show you what to do, and keep you on the right track.

But that’s not all we offer, either. You’ll love both our supportive, fun community, and our exciting, quick and new workout routines ranging from 30 to 60 minutes. On top of that, you’ll be able to benefit from one-on-one nutritional guidance, rounding out a fail-safe approach to fitness that may just shock you with the type of success you will quickly begin to see.

Our trainers will design individualized programs especially suited to meet your needs and provide you with a safe and challenging workout. Whether your goal is a well developed physique, better cardiovascular endurance, or improved overall health, we’ll be there to provide expert instruction, guide you through proper form and alignment, and of course, offer you the motivation and support you need.

Open Gym

Practice makes… you better! We believe Open Gym is the perfect time for that. During Open Gym, you can practice at your own pace those skills that still elude you. You can also make up a workout you missed or try one that has caught your eye.

Open Gym is only available to our active members, and it is not a substitute for the CrossFit Classes. Athletes who spend a couple sessions in Open Gym each week will be amazed by how much faster the goals they have are reached.

Open Gym is available for several hours each day. There is always at least one of our coaches available if you run out of ideas for what to practice!

Nutrition

Nutrition is the foundation of your success in managing your health. It’s something you’ll hear about daily at CrossFit Cure. If one of your main goals is weight loss, we strongly recommend you upgrade your membership to a “hybrid” that includes some level of nutritional accountability.

We also have nutritional tracks for performance, pregnancy, kids etc.
