CrossFit Group Classes

CrossFit Cure is a registered CrossFit affiliate recognized for having completed specialized training to run a CrossFit Kids program. The age groups below are just a suggestion, and our CrossFit Kids trainers (Hugh and Kai) will assess the best placement for individuals. We are currently accepting reservations our kids program.

Geckos (age 3-5) These 20-minute classes are full of fast paced games to captivate this age group and keep them coming back for more.

Hawks (5-9) The 30-minute classes start adding in proper movement technique in a truly fun environment. The kids will be challenged to work as a team to solve puzzles and face challenges indoors and out.

Bobcats (8-12) These 45-minute classes will start to take on the structure of a traditional CrossFit class, with a warm-up, skill work and a WOD. Each day ends with a game of varying length.

They will become familiar with the proper names for the foundational movements of CrossFit while honing social and leadership skills. You will love seeing your child progress though this program and see them grow physically and mentally.

Teens (13-17) CrossFit Teens is a core-strength and conditioning program designed for the teenage athlete. It’s an exceptional accessory class for active teens already in a sports program. It’s a comprehensive stand-alone fitness regimen for any teen, and can be scaled to their ability while still challenging them to improve. Classes combine weightlifting, body weight movements, plyometrics, running and rowing in a constantly varied, highly intense class. Our goal is to improve the athlete’s strength and endurance as well as focus and perseverance.

Teens will begin to work with heavier loads, over longer time frames and at higher intensity, safety is of course the priority. Under the careful guidance of a CrossFit instructor, teens will learn not just how to get stronger and fitter but also the importance of working as a team, of setting goals and attaining them, and the benefit of seeing health and fitness as a lifetime pursuit.

What to Expect

CrossFit Kids is meant to be BIG fun for all ages. Broad-Inclusive-General fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children. Further, the needs of second graders and high-school varsity wrestlers differ by degree and not kind; the program is scalable for any age or experience level and accounts for the varied maturation status one can find in a class full of kids. CrossFit Kids is designed to be minimalist; it is inexpensive and often requires little or no equipment, allowing a wide array of socioeconomic groups an opportunity to be physically fit and physically active throughout their lives.
